Whenever I try to play anything on HBOGO the video is continuously jerky or hesitant throughout.

It only happens on HBOGO and it's quite unwatchable.

Chrome won't play anything at all there, it comes up with an error message.

I would try to contact tech support at HBO but they either don't provide it or would rather not hear from anybody.

It happens in Safe Mode and it happens with a new profile.

You are my only hope!

Did you try updating your flash player?

Seems like its a HBO server issue as you can reproduce problems on other browsers.

Yes I tried updating Flash. I uninstalled it using their own uninstaller and then re-installed it. No luck.

Yes, it seems like an HBO issue, but I can't believe I'm the only one having it.

Can you pause the player in case that allows to buffer a larger part of the video?

You can check for problems with current Flash plugin versions and try these:

  • disable a possible RealPlayer Browser Record Plugin extension for Firefox and update the RealPlayer if installed
  • disable protected mode in the Flash plugin (Flash 11.3+ on Windows Vista and later)
  • disable hardware acceleration in the Flash plugin
