The side pop out add that keeps popping out blocks view of screen have pop ups blocked
The adds keep popping out on the side since I downloaded the latest version of firefox. It is blocking view of forms that I try to fill out online you cannot get rid of the half inch black back. popups are blocked.

It could be that these ads are generated by an add-on. Try this:
Disable ALL nonessential or unrecognized add-ons on these two tabs:
orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons > Plugins category
orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons > Extensions category
If you get a link above a disabled extension to restart Firefox, go ahead and do that as the last step. Any improvement?

I'm having this problem on my Mac OS Snow leopard.
Oreocracker, then jscher2000's comment could suit you, also see the Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode article for using safe mode to crack this down.
TY WFW, I did have one called 1.0 and disabled it. I'll see if it helps. Not only are ads taking over the tele, they're now on my computer. Driving me batty.
