For the past 9 months, Firefox has needed to be reset on the 15th of each month except March and May. I do a backup before the reset on the 15th each time

I know the reset fixes the problem, but I want to find out how to stop it from needing to be reset. Each month since Jan. 2013, Firefox has needed resetting on the 15th of each month except March and May. I know these dates because I made a backup before the reset and each one has been made on the 15th of each month except March and May.

I detect the problem when web pages are not formatted correctly but display as a list of the "clickable options" that would be displayed on the correctly formatted page.

I am not aware of anything that occurs on the 15th of each month.

Trend Micro is scheduled to do a weekly scan each Sunday evening and I know of nothing else that needs a schedule.

Can you find anything in the Windows Task Scheduler?

Windows 7: Start button > Control Panel > System and Security > Administrative Tools > Task Scheduler

Also, the next time you see the broken pages, can you try a reload bypassing the cache?

  • Use Ctrl+Shift+r to reload the page fresh from the server.
  • Alternately, you also can clear Firefox's cache completely using:

orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Options > Advanced

On the Network mini-tab > Cached Web Content : "Clear Now"

If you have a large hard drive, this might take a few minutes.
