I have 13 tabs that will not close. I have deleted and reinstalled Firefox but it still opens with tabs that will not close. What can I do to close these tabs?

I have closed tabs and quit Firefox(several times) cleared history, deleted and reinstalled, and these same tabs are still there even after the re-installation. Why is this happening and how do I fix it so it never happens again?

I've been having the same problem with not being able to close a couple of tabs. I've had to quit FF and restart. It's starting to get annoying. Never did this with previous versions. Resetting the homepage wouldn't seem to be a feasible solution.
