If I enable cookies I can't change Youtube video quality (flash player goes black and freezes), but if I disable them then I can't sign in.

Only started getting this problem a day or two ago.

I've noticed other people getting this problem, and disabling cookies does allow me to change video quality, but I need to be able to do so while signed in to my Youtube (Google+) account.

Clear the cache and cookies only from websites that cause problems.

"Clear the Cache":

  • Firefox/Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"

"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:

  • Firefox/Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"

You can inspect and manage the permissions for the domain in the currently selected tab via these steps:

  • Click the "Site Identity Button" (globe/padlock) on the location bar
  • Click "More Information" to open Page Info
  • Go to the Permissions tab
  • Tools > Page Info > Permissions
