Firefox is just opening a blank page. I cant type a URL, do a search or change options. Please help
I have just upgraded firefox to the latest version and having a problem where firefox is just opening a blank page. I cant search or type in URLs. I can go into Firefox settings but cant change the options. I cant get down to the bottom of this problem. It is affecting two people in the company so far on Windows 7 computers.
Any suggestions?

It is possible that your security software (firewall, anti-virus) blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox and the plugin-container from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

uninstall firefox do a search of "my computer" for firefox and mozilla
mozilla doesnt install anything u do not tell it to. if you are worried, find agent ransack. it will find any files based on your search. make sure your java and flash are updated properly.

I am just scanning for Malware to see if there is anything.
I have disabled firewalls and Anitivirus just in case its this.
Thanks for replies so far and will keep you posted.
All Malware removed and there are no Firewalls enabled.
I still cant do anything.
First, turn your firewall back on. Go to Mozilla.org and get the full installer.
