Hi,

I have a problem with Google search in Firefox: both the Google Default Search bar and the search via "www.google.com" do not return any results.

It appears as if I am on the Google website, but there are no results. And sometimes, Firefox suddenly crashes when I'm searching via the search bar.

I ran all the malware programs suggested by Mozilla to fix the problem, but nothing was found. I also cleared cache and cookies, started in safe mode and also re-installed Firefox, but nothing ist working.

Please help me with this issue!

Please answer the following questions:

  • Are you sure this is not an internet connectivity issue?
  • Have tried Google search from other browsers from the same pc?

I have faced this problem several times in different browsers but for a short duration. One suggestion:

Use https://www.google.com

instead of http://www.google.com

for Google Search.

I am sure it is not an Internet connection problem, as I can search with google via Internet Explorer and other Browsers without a problem. Using https://google.com does not help. Instead, Firefox is crashing if I use the google search bar (it does so since a week or so, so its not a temporary problem).

This is the crash report:
