outlook.com people/contacts tab returns error msg in FF but works in IE
People (contacts) tab in my microsoft outlook.com account has ceased working about a week ago. Every time I click the icon to go to people, I get an error: "This page is temporarily unavailable We're sorry, there was a problem showing this page. We experienced some technical difficulties retrieving the content."
This problem began when I updated to FF27.1 I had option selected "ask me before downloading cookies." When I first called up outlook.com site after FF update it asked many times for permission to download cookies. I tried to allow for session each time but once I may have accidentally clicked deny. I cleared all cookies since then and have turned off the "ask me" about cookies feature, but now I have a ton of cookies again. I don't even know if that has anything to do with it at all. Also, I have setting to clear cookies on closing FF.
One other thing. After update to FF27.1 Adobe Flash kept showing a tiny pop up screen asking if I wanted to allow. (not just on outlook.com , but on many pages) However, the stupid thing never responded to my click no matter how many times I tried to allow and it would not let me deny or even close the window either despite multiple attempts.
I read a similar post with thread but it did not solve my problem.
My OS is Windows Vista SP2

Hi, One extra step to delete those cookies is to search for all the pages in History that have [outlook.com] in it.
- Click on History
- Click on Show all History
- search for the pages with outlook.com and delete them
If it continues to happen you can clear the cache when Firefox closeshttps://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-clear-firefox-cache but this would clear for other sites as well.
For the second issue please check about:addons then click on the Shockwave extention to see if the selection "always ask" is selected and change it to what you would like it to do.
Hope this helps.
You can try these steps in case of issues with web pages:
You can reload web page(s) and bypass the cache to refresh possibly outdated or corrupted files.
- Hold down the Shift key and left-click the Reload button
- Press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
- Press "Command + Shift + R" (Mac)
Clear the cache and cookies only from websites that cause problems.
"Clear the Cache":
- Firefox/Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"
"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:
- Firefox/Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).
- Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window.

You can remove all data stored in Firefox from a specific domain via "Forget About This Site" in the right-click context menu of an history entry ("History > Show All History" or "View > Sidebar > History") or via the about:permissions page.
Using "Forget About This Site" will remove all data stored in Firefox from that domain like bookmarks, cookies, passwords, cache, history, and exceptions, so be cautious and if you have a password or other data from that domain that you do not want to lose then make sure to backup this data or make a note.
You can't recover from this 'forget' unless you have a backup of the involved files.
It doesn't have any lasting effect, so if you revisit such a 'forgotten' website then data from that website will be saved once again.
