How to customize the Status Bar, in order to see Send/Receive status and progress bar

I have TB 24.4.0 on both Win 7 and Win Vista computers. On the Win 7 installation, I can (usually*) see email Send/Receive progress in the bottom left of the Status bar (e.g. "Checking Inbox for new messages", then POP3 for my various accounts etc.). I also see a green progress bar on the bottom right when emails are being sent or received. On this one, I can also see the number of messages in each folder, on the far bottom right (Unread: ## and Total: ##). On the Vista installation, the Unread and Total numbers are on the bottom left, but when I send/receive my emails, there is no similar progress message (and no indication that Send/Receive is actually working, unless I get a new email). I would like to be able see both the send/receive status, and the send/receive progress bar on the Status Bar. How can I do this? Are the Unread/Total numbers on the bottom left (instead of bottom right) blocking this? (* Also in the past, even on my Win 7 installation, occasionally the send/receive status disappears from the Status Bar - and I think when this happens the Unread/Total numbers switch to the left - but it hasn't happened for a while. Why is this?) I can add screen shots if this will help. Look forward to any advice or solutions. Thanks.

See if you have the add on Adblocker Plus installed on the problem system. If so disable it and restart Thunderbird. This add on is known to cause this problem.

I've attached the screen shots of the two TB Status Bars - Win 7 and Win Vista installations.

Thanks, Airmail, this seems to have resolved the issue.

I'm still curious - is there a way to control or position the different elements on the Status Bar?

Not that I am aware of.
