I have absolutely loved using Firefox on my desktop and my android and I am now forced to react to the unfair and punitive firing of CEO Brendan Eich due to his religious beliefs by boycotting Mozilla. I do not take a stand on this whole issue of gay marriage, but I am appalled by the return to the '50's scourge of the Red Scare now in the form of the Gay Scare. You have not only ruined Mr. Eich's career but set the stage for an all-out Thought-Crime wave in the country.

Shame, shame, shame for furthering the deterioration of freedom in our once-free country.

hello, i don't know where you have got the idea from that mr. eich has been fired, as this is not accurate.
it was a personal decision of his to step back between all this ongoing frenzy in order to avert further damage from mozilla and its mission - so his intentions were just the opposite of what you are trying to achieve with a call for boycott.

This attempt at disinformation will not fly. If Mozilla had supported Mr. Eich he would still have a job. It is clear from your recent public statement on the matter that he was sacrificed for public opinion.

the decision was made by brendan alone, everything else is fabrication. since the moment brendan was appointed, free and open discussion has come from a various viewpoints. mozilla is an organization that believes in openness and that no one should be persecuted for the beliefs they hold, no matter what those beliefs are. we believe in unconditional freedom and openness & that's why we support rights for everyone.

He was supported as Brendan was not forced nor fired as he choose to do so for Mozilla and the Mozilla community.
