Just installed new hard drive. Kept favorites from my Windows 7 Firefox file of favorite bookmarked sites. Now I want to load in my Firefox file that is running in Windows 8. When I search various ways, there is no file on the computer that comes up showing where the bookmarks were installed. My bookmarks have been carried over I don't know how many operating systems and are fair in size.

Open the source computer. Go to the Bookmarks full window. <Control + Shift> B. Using the Import / Export menu, export the bookmarks using HTML mode into a file. Close.

Now open the receiving program. Do the same as above but Import the file you just saved.

If this does not work, properly, Open a new window. Press the <ALT> key to bring up the menu bar. Select File, then Open File. You should be able to work on the bookmarks one by one.
