An error occurred while sending mail. The mail server responded: Request failed: Mailbox unavailable-verify address. Address is okay.

This seems to be covered in several archived cases. Solution being to change name of outgoing SMTP server. so that each account is associated with a different SMTP server. I have three yahoo accounts. One is legacy AT&T. No issue at this time Cannot send on Acct B. It has all account settings same as account A. When I attempt to change SMTP outgoing server on account B to the newly named SMTP server It chanes both accounts to new name, Sets new name as default and account B is still unable to send.

This is a new problem. Been a Tbird user since it's inception. V128.3 Windows 10 up to date

When this happens, it's always this old PDF file that says it's an attachment, but there is no attachment, just this wall of text. I have no idea where to begin troubleshooting this, the only thing I can come up with is to delete everything and start clean, hopefully there's a better solution (like rebuild some database, if that's a thing). It is not always from the same sender but the attachment it refers to is always this one.

I recently upgraded to the latest version of Ubuntu. I lost all my email TAGS, (though if I add a "new" one, with a tag name that I remember, it finds all the relevant tagged messages) I also lost my Contacts. Thankfully the contacts are safe in my main email thing, but it is still a pain when I use Thunderbird.

I have now got version 128.3.2esr, updating from the one before that - 128.3.0esr. With this older version I had a problem deleting emails ( coming up with "not responding") roughly taking 30 secs to delete and respond again. Several days passed, I was about to call our IT guy when things went back to normal. The same thing is happening again with the latest update!! I have been using Thunderbird for years with no problems until now, can anyone help? Sue

Hello, My problem is that I am not always able to retrieve/receive my emails through the Thunderbird client. I get a message that says failed to connect to server. All of a suddent this started happening. If any emails come through, they are usually dated two or three weeks previously. The latest batch of emails that are in my in-box today (21 Oct) are dated 5 Oct). I would appreciate any help that you could give. Thank you very much.

I must be seriously doing something wrong. When viewing plain-text messages in Thunderbird, lines are not wrapped according to the available window width, but instead each paragraph is displayed as one long line and I have to scroll horizontally to read it.

I am also really confused why I cannot find any info about this online. The only thing that I could find is this feature request from 5 years ago with no responses.

How can I enable line wrap for reading messages?

I've used Thunderbird with multiple Google Workspace accounts before - but I've found the account configuration process to be very inconsistent.

All three accounts require OAuth2 authentication - all use the same IMAP and SMTP servers.

Adding the first account works perfectly - every time. It's when I go to add the second account that I start encountering issues.

I'll see one of two things happen:

1. A browser window will instantiate but it will attempt to use the login from the first account to authenticate the mailbox for the second account. Obviously that's not going to work, so I cancelled out of the authentication workflow.

2. Now that I've cancelled the authentication workflow, Thunderbird attempts to use basic auth each and every time. I've deleted the account and tried adding it back again. No luck.

I've had this working on a couple of other Windows computers. But, as mentioned at the onset, the behavior was very inconsistent.

Now, I'm setting up a new computer and I'm stuck.

From what I've seen in other email clients - they seem to understand that each mailbox will require unique credentials.

They do not attempt to reuse OAuth2 tokens for subsequent mailboxes. Instead, they restart the authentication workflow for each account - which is the behavior I would expect with Thunderbird as well.

This seems like a bug. I'm not sure how to troubleshoot it any further.

This is with version 128.3.2esr on Windows 11 (24H2).

I have several emails. I've been noticing that some of my emails are going out with a "default" email. (I just saw this stated, but I can't find it again.) I never set a default email.

This does NOT happen when I reply to someone, only when I start a new email.

I went to each of the account settings and checked the box which says FROM address, and entered the correct address for each. It continues to use the Default reply email.

I found on this site a couple of old messages regarding this issue. A couple of replies said this will happen if the SMTP doesn't differentiate. With my service, it's the same SMTP for all the accounts - smtpauth.earthlink.net. The wanted reply email is in the User Name box in that dialog box.

Is there a way to tell Thunderbird to either NOT use a default email?

The issue is that when I open an email I received, sometimes the inline images are having a width 100% of the parent container (when I first open the message after the TB restart for first time), as they should be and sometimes the inline images are having their actual size.

In the first case the img element has the parameters overflow and shrinktofit as TRUE img src="imap://................@imap.gmail.com:993/fetch%3EUID%3E/INBOX%3E33514?part=1.1.2&filename=Screenshot%202024-10-13%20at%2017.50.33.jpeg" alt="Screenshot 2024-10-13 at 17.50.33.jpeg" overflowing="true" shrinktofit="true"

I'm attaching 3 photos where you can see how the photos are handled differently when I open the message, close it and then reopen it. In addition, in the case of fulled sized photos, the cursor does not change to a zoom lens when passing over them and I can not zoom-in or zoom out them.

I have two Xfinity (comcast.net) email accounts and a gmail account on Thunderbird, which I am using for the first time. The gmail works fine. The comcast.net accounts receive okay but whenever I try to send it takes me to the Xfinity sign-in page for a password. When I type it in it says "You don't have permission to access "http://login.xfinity.com/login" on this server." The password is correct as I was able to set up the accounts and it pulled in all my messages. I am not a very proficient user so please make it as simple as possible. Thanks in advance.

Sync calendar in Thunderbird to cPanel

I have read all the help and it advises installing TBsync for version 128. I do that but then is not available for me to view when going to Tools> 'Add on and themes'.… (lees meer)

I have read all the help and it advises installing TBsync for version 128. I do that but then is not available for me to view when going to Tools> 'Add on and themes'. Then hit the wrench on TbSync, Account actions > Add new account. Then the CalDav option does not show to me as i have seen on other instruction sites...!

Any ideas why it is not showing? Are there any good guides on how to do the sync?

Fundamentally i am trying to get my calendar on Thunderbird synced up continuously to CPanel - cannot get it to work.. Any guidance would be really appreciated... Thank you...

This has been going on since early October. Now the errors keep stacking up as I book new Open Table Reservations.

        I got the error message after I was asked to add to my calendar [I don't use google]. see attached
        Now when I log on to Thunderbird, I get message #1. If I dismiss it I get Message #3. If I click details in message #1, I get message #2, then I will get message #3 again when I try to clear. Also every 15 minutes after I log on to Thunderbird I get the little beep and another round of Message #1 and #3 dismiss starts all over again. It goes on for hours. 
         First I contacted Open table and they determined that it's not being caused by Open Table.

Then I found the error message #2147500037 on Thunderbird's platform so it's a thunderbird error.

         I have deleted Thunderbird and re-established it. It didn't help. I tried the calendar date reset, but that's not my system so didn't work.

about 10% of the time when I delete an email from the inbox new folders open in the Trash main folder, new inbox folder icons appear in the menu of folders at the top left and the open inbox disappears. restarting the program does not fix this. restarting the computer sometimes fixes this erratic behavior. eventually the erratic behavior corrects. this has been happening for a couple years.

what do I do so the email program works normally all the time?
