Is this a real notification from Firefox? The website is not firefox.com http://www.lpmxp29.com/63494E245A255478367B4B69397330552C08F14ADD2DBEA0BFE85FB89361CC95
I keep getting the website with a recommendation to update my video player. It looks legitimately like a firefox webpage, but the URL is not coming from Firefox.com or mozilla.org.
I have refrained from updating anything at this point.
Thank you for your help, Ryan

You're correct. It's not related to Mozilla. Anything that DOESN'T come from mozilla.org is fraud. I have always relied on adblocking software. AdBlock Plus is the one I use and it's found at addons.mozilla.org. Be sure to always have your antivirus up-to-date and your computer should have the latest Windows Update and service pack (if it has one)

Hello,
From your system details ,it seems you have lots of add-ons/extension installed.
Some of them may be causing this problem to you, please start Firefox in Safe mode and see if the problem still occurs in safe mode or not.
If Problem goes away then it must be one of your Extension causing it, try disabling them one by one to see which one is the culprit.
Your System Details shows;
Installed Plug-ins
Adobe PDF Plug-In For Firefox and Netscape 11.0.07 Adobe PDF Plug-In For Firefox and Netscape 10.1.10
It could be the work of one of your add-ons, or even add / mal-ware. Look thru your add-ons list and make sure you know what each one is there for. Also, check the programs that are on your computer Windows > Start > Control Panel > Uninstall Programs. (Mac: Open the "Applications" folder) Go thru the list and use a web search to check any that you don't know what they are.
