You can check the about:sync-progress page via the location bar.
'about:sync-progress' just show me: set up is completed. no sync status.
I don't believe there is a about:sync page that does that. AFAIK, the about page cor-el gave you is all I'm aware of to.
There are some internal sync pages that you can open from the about:about page like the about:sync-progress page.
You can open about: pages via the location bar like you open a website.
You mentioned
just sync both from desktop? or can use one as primary.
No not as far as I am aware.
I only currently use a single device, so I am not sure of this as fact, but I understand the New Sync syncs with the Sync servers on any connected device is effectively similar to the data held on the server.
You do not get options to
- Sync between certain paired devices,
- Choose the direction of sync between devices and choose whether that sync is to merge data instead of overwritng.
It is also I believe possible to log the sync activity, but I don't think this is likely to be something that is going to assist with your problem.
I think FF have long way to go to let sync function usable. .
Sync is a great tool but I would like to know when sync has completed. Maybe have the indicator spinning or not spinning so we know.
The initial Sync process completion display is as cor-el posted. After the initial sync you can view "sync progress" via a Tooltip for the Sync button.
There is a Sync button sitting in the Menu Panel > when the Customize Panel is open. Move that button to a Toolbar or into the Menu Panel (on the right).
If you hover the cursor of that button a Tooltip will appear that says "Last sync" and gives the day and time. As such - Last sync: Sat 16:28
