Hi,

i have a problem. I'm reaching my internet bank via Firefox. But suddenly it is asking me to type a main password. This is not a password for internet bank account but it supposed to be a password for Mozilla. I don't remember setting this password and now I'm not able to log in in my bank. Where can i get this password asap?

Thank you very much for your help,

Janza

Is this the Master Password for the Firefox Password Manager?

The Current Firefox release allows to save a name and password from sites that have a log in form with autocomplete="off". If you want to disable this new feature then you can toggle the signon.storeWhenAutocompleteOff pref to false on the about:config page with a double-click.

You can open the about:config page via the location bar and you can accept the warning and click "I'll be careful" to continue.

Can you access the saved passwords?

  • Firefox > Preferences > Security: Passwords: "Saved Passwords" > "Show Passwords"
