The servers have been updated so the url in the first post will just work again. Part of the release process got skipped.

30.0 is actually the current and latest version! You should be able to update it via the Google Play Store :)

Of course not. You can get it from http://www.mozilla.org . There is no need to mess with the FTP server.

Jarod is not referring to the desktop Firefox builds for Windows, Mac OSX or Linux as that is what is served on mozilla.org and not mobile Firefox for Android which will redirect to Google Play as you can see on http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/android/

I think the Google Play serves the version as needed? as there are ARMv7, ARMv6 and android-x86 (Intel) builds.

.
.

edit: had two ARMv7 when I meant ARMv6 for second.

You may want to re-read Jarod's last reply.

Yes he is looking for the android-x86 (Intel) version which is what the x86 refers to. Mozilla has been supporting Android phones/tablets that uses Intel cpu since mobile Firefox 26.0 and newer.

Unless you were thinking of something else with "x86 version".

Yes. I mean android-x86. You could get previous stable version 29.0.1 via ftp https://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/mozilla.org/mobile/releases/29.0.1/android-x86/multi/

30.0 is the only missed version. So I think this is a little issue. Or Firefox Android team just changed the build process, maybe.

Yes. I mean android-x86.

It seems it wasn't possible to mention that little piece of information in your OP.

In any case, there is a candidate build available at this time. I guess that means the official release simply isn't ready yet. https://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/mozilla.org/mobile/candidates/30.0-candidates/build1/android-x86/

Hi Jarod and everybody else

Firefox for Android on x86 should be available on Google Play for you to download. If it isn't that's a bug

If you can't get it to work, let us know here and

please let us know which Android X86 phone or tablet you are using.

Cheers!
