When clicking on the link to try and log in for a particular website using firefox I get a screen every time that says "unable to validate data". "Server error in "/" application."

However by accessing the website using internet explorer or safari I am able to access this link just fine. Is this an issue with firefox or is this an issue with that website somehow not enabling firefox access?

How can I fix this problem?

HI,

I had a similar problem but its resolved itself after a few hours. Made me think maybe Firefox/security certificate provider were having trouble communicating. Wonder if your issue goes away by itself as well.

Thanks

Sadly, it has been over a week and it still hasn't resolved itself. I had also hoped it would fix itself.

Can provide the URL for that website?

Too vague to even venture a guess.

Did you try to clear the cache and cookies only from websites that cause problems?

"Clear the Cache":

  • Firefox/Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"

"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:

  • Firefox/Tools > Options > Privacy > "Use custom settings for history" > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
