I noticed that emails left in TB inbox over 24 hours are corrupted. The body text is missing/corrupted. Looks ok if TB not used. Why?
Emails in my TB inbox dated yesterday or before have the body text either missing or replaced by what looks like programming language. When I access the same email through my web browser, all is normal. I have not changed anything in TB for many months. Why and what can I do to correct the problem?

... what looks like programming language.
Can you be a little more specific than that? Maybe you can give an example?
Part of one email looks like the following stuff posted below. Others have no text at all. Viewing through my web browser instead of Thunderbird and all emails look fine. (Leading me to believe it is a TB issue). Emails I have received today look fine, and I will look again tomorrow to see if they are corrupted.
Thanks for responding! Steve
