Pop-up adds make it impossible to use the internet entirely, and downloaded adblocker software doesnt work. How can I use the internet and make the ads go away?
The adblocker software I downloaded does not appear to work at all. AdBlocker Plus downloaded from Mozilla.org. How do I prevent advertisements from entirely blocking my view of most internet websites?

hello, you may have malicious addons present. please perform all these steps:
- reset firefox (this will keep your bookmarks and passwords)
- afterwards go to the firefox menu ≡ > addons > extensions and in case there are still extensions listed there, disable them.
- update your plugins (some of them are out-dated & have security vulnerabilities that are actively exploited on the web).
- finally run a full scan of your system with different security tools like the free version of malwarebytes and adwcleaner to make sure that adware isn't present in other places of your system as well.
You can check for recently installed suspicious or unknown extensions.
It may not be necessary to reset Firefox and lose installed extensions and other customizations.
Do a malware check with several malware scanning programs on the Windows computer. Please scan with all programs because each program detects different malware. All these programs have free versions.
Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before doing a scan.
