Why is my Thunderbird crashing every few hours (safe mode does not help)?
My Thunderbird started crashing once in a while a few months ago. It has steadily gotten worse. Lately, it is crashing every few hours. I have tried deleting all spam, junk and trash messages; defragmenting my hard drive, and restarting my computer. That didn't work. Next I tried running Thunderbird in safe mode. That didn't work. Next I ran a full scan with my McAfee virus scanning. Zero issues were found. I believe that around 40 crash reports have been submitted to Mozilla since 10/5/2014. Thunderbird worked fine on my Windows 7 Home Premium Dell desktop for about three years. Then, for some unknown reason(s) it started crashing. I don't what to try next. I would appreciate any suggestions for a fix of this crashing problem. Thanks.
