This is so annoying. The web pages flicker or blink especially when the cursor is is passed over the top of the webpage where the toolbar, shortcuts and open tabs are. Sometimes it blinks even if the mouse is not being used.

Some suggestions that I have tried are to change the accessibility option and check or uncheck to navigate with cursor within pages with no luck.

Will have to change browsers as this is very bothersome and inconvenient. I do want to stay with Firefox as Chrome has not been stable either.

Hello,

Try disabling graphics hardware acceleration. You might need to restart Firefox in order for this to take effect, so save all work first (e.g., mail you are composing, online documents you're editing, etc.).

Then perform these steps:

  1. Click the menu button New Fx Menu and select Options
  2. In the Firefox Options window, click the Advanced tab, then select General.
  3. In the settings list, you should find the Use hardware acceleration when available checkbox. Uncheck this checkbox.
  4. Now, restart Firefox and see if the problems persist.

Additionally, please check for updates for your graphics driver by following the steps mentioned in the following Knowledge base articles:

Unchecking the "Hardware acceleration" box worked!! Thanks so much!

I tried checking to upgrade my graphics drivers to use hardware acceleration and WebGL, but I don't where to check on this. I will research this, unless you can point me in the right direction.

Thanks so much, again. I'm a fan because I actually had a response from someone who actually assisted.

Have a great day!
