When composing an email, the line wraps about 1/2 way across the window screen. When the email is 'replied to' and included in the reply, the entire message is contained on one line. I'm running version 31.1.2. This didn't happen when I was running an older version.

Do you compose in plain text, or do you use HTML formatting? If HTML, do you have a signature with images in it?

When composing in Thunderbird, plain text has a wrap limit, by default set at 72 characters. Email written using HTML has no business wrapping except automatically at the window edge. It should re-flow to fit the display.

As Matt hints, I've had interesting experiences too when corresponding with Mac users.
