You can sort any window on any column by clicking on that column header. Clicking that same header a second time will reverse the sort order.

Try clicking on the header labeled DATE.

Sorry maybe I didn't make my question clear. I do not want to sort by date or sort by anything. Just want the new one on top. By new one, it can be new received email or old email from other folder.

So you want the last thing that you placed in the trash to be on top no matter how new or old the message is? I am not sure how this could be done. Every window sorts on something. Maybe someone else will have a work around.

If you notice right away you can select Edit-Undo from the menu bar or use the shortcut control+z. This will undo the last action. If you do something else before you notice it then this does not work.

Yes, this is exactly how I want it. Last thing on top regardless of how new or old. No sorting, period.

You could make things easier if you empty the trash every day and compact the folders right after. You can do both from the File menu.
