The Password Manager is set up to use both. I take it this is a security issue?

There are Auto Form Fill's that can do the job at the Mozilla Add-ons Web Page {web link} (There’s a lot of good stuff here) and search for what you want.

In looking at he list of "security" add-ons, I see that there are 1,298 choices. At the risk of appearing to be a lazy ass, I would appreciate a few suggestions as to the types of add-ons that "can do the job". Unfortunately my eyesight is not very good, and it's a bit challenging to sort through the list, especially without knowing exactly what I should be looking for. Thank you.

Please describe what you want the add-on to do, and not do.

I've called the big guys to help you.

You can disable the Password Manager and use form fill if you only want to remember the user name and not the password.

Thank you cor-el. The problem with using "form fill" to remember the user name is that I do not want to Firefox to remember the Bbrowsing and download history" after I close Firefox. For this I must check "Clear History when Firefox closes". But then this would also prevent "form fill" autocomplete from working when I re-open Firefox.

I do, however, want Firefox to remember browsing history while I have it open in a single session. So it does not work to simply "check form fill", but then "uncheck Browsing History" and "uncheck Clear History". I do not want Firefox to remember browsing history from a previous session, only a current one.

Again, to any, I only want Firefox to remember 2 user names for email login, as in "form fill" autocomplete, but not to remember the passwords, i.e., let us 2 users enter only our password.

If you can't use form fill in Firefox then you need to look for a form fill extension.

Did you know that you can have more then one user profile for Firefox? Firefox can create a profile for every user that has access to the computer. FF can also be set up so that there is more than one profile for a single user. All of these profiles would be separate from each other.

My thanks go out to cor-el and FredMcD for your thoughtful offerings. You have put me on the right track. Please allow me a little time to explore your suggestions, as I suspect that one or the other will resolve my inquiry. Alle Beste, ...... Yardbyrde ;)
