I updated my browser to v35.0.1 and it seems to go through the installation process, but I cannot open the browser. I see that the installation created shortcuts on the desktop and taskbar, but when I click on those, nothing happens. And I did not see any error messages during installation. I checked task manager to see if firefox process started, but it doesn't. I uninstalled / re-installed several times, but doesn't seem to help

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web Link} by holding down the <Shift (Mac Options) > key, and then starting Firefox. Is the problem still there?

Thanks for your response, I tried that. Same thing - I hold the shift key down and try to open Firefox - nothing happens. Any other suggestions? any setting in my laptop that could have changed that are causing the problems (I am using a work laptop).

Some work computers have locks against unknown programs. Check that out.

Start your Computer in safe mode with networking. Then start Firefox. Try Safe web sites.
