Is there a way to delete redundant identical messages dragged into a conversation as quoted messages during the original exchange?

The "conversation" view in very nice but could be greatly improved if there was a way to remove redundancies that occur when each message in the chain has quoted the message it is responding to. In a chain of four messages you end up with four identical versions of the first message, three of the second, two of the third and one of the last. When the conversation has gone on for twenty exchanges it gets out of hand. Is there some way to remove this redundancy and only display the unique messages?

Also is there some way to save this edited collapsed version of the string back to the email list so that it will not be lost but will be much easier to read in the future AND ALSO much easier to read if forwarded to other readers?

I was also unable to find any explanation of discussion of the Conversation feature in the general introduction to using TB.
