I had version 36.0.4 x32 install on windows 8.1 box. I was using 75 MB at startup. 1 tab, homepage duckduckgo open. Went through the support suggestions. Set all addon/extensions to 'Ask to activate'. Didn't reduce memory use. 1 suggestion was update firefox. Help about, stated I was up to date, but went to download page and it sensed and notified me of version 37.0. Upgraded. Restarted and ..... now it using 118 MB.
