I find myself having to manage my operating system's (win 7) volume levels constantly with the new default html5 video player when moving between programs (foobar, vlc, youtube, etc). HTML5 youtube videos are really quiet now. In the past I was able to set my os master volume really low because flash would saturate it and seamlessly move between audio producing programs. For example I've attached two samples screenshots of the volume meters, one html5 the other with flash playback. Those were taken at the exact same time and video. Is there something that can be done? Is this a firefox (37.0.2) bug? I've tried this in chrome and it didn't exhibit this problem. Any help would be appreciated

P.S. file attachments aren't uploading. Here are the links below. HTML5 = http://i.imgur.com/MEpTF1t.png Flash = http://i.imgur.com/0ayuaK0.png

Did you check the volume setting in the media player?

There may be multiple settings for the volume stored in various places. Websites can also store such settings in DOM local storage.

You can try to clear all the cookies and set the range to everything to include local storage as well.

Only leave a tick with the cookies.
