Twitter hangs or crashes, hangs or crashes Firefox 38. The problem seems to be with the script abs.twimg.com. I can sometimes prevent or temporarily stop the hanging by stopping and restarting the script in NoScript.

You can check to see if that dns name just takes a while. Sometimes servers become busy. You can detect how long it takes to load with this tool:

After clearing the cache if you do not see an improvement please contact Twitter support about the connection.

Despite the name--which looks like a url---abs.twimg.com is a script which runs on twitter.com. I can block it with NoScript and prevent the hangs and crashes, at the expense of not actually being able to use Twitter.

@Twitter has support for learning how to post pictures, etc. I can find no option for application support. Why does the script crash Firefox, and what can be done to prevent it?

Twimg.com continues to crash Firefox hard about 2-3 times an hour. Anybody got a clue over there?
