I am ready to quit Firefox altogether. I do not want windows opening spontaneously with commercials. Is there a "do not call" list which prevents these ad and promotional windows? Firefox you have lost your soul, more accurately sold your soul to the devil. It started with all of these tracking windows reducing the readable area of the screen. I am now looking for a new browser which allows me to shut off these incessant adds. To monitor my surfing and create targeted advertising is an invasion of privacy. I dont want your crap filling the screen. You must provide the option of shutting off adds or risk losing many, many, customers.

Today, I am searching to find browsers which are not so obtrusive and allows full screen content without all the automatic window calls and excess advertising. I was one of the first of my group of people to discover Firefox and I have recommended it to all my computer associates. NO MORE: you have taken a good program and you are hell bent on ruining it. Tell your marketing people to stuff it! Time to move on. Goodbye Firefox, your old code will be missed your new code is horse manure. Please fire the idiots who are driven by profit alone. Not all computers can open multiple screens and since the debacle with flash it is clear you have lost your way and chosen the dark side. Good bye Firefox, old friend, you will be missed but life goes on.

Sometimes a problem with Firefox may be a result of malware installed on your computer, that you may not be aware of.

You can try these free programs to scan for malware, which work with your existing antivirus software:

Microsoft Security Essentials is a good permanent antivirus for Windows 7/Vista/XP if you don't already have one. Windows 8 has antivirus built-in already.

Further information can be found in the Troubleshoot Firefox issues caused by malware article.
