When I open About Firefox, it starts to update automatically

Firefox 40.0.3 on Windows 10.

When I go to Help/About Firefox, it automatically starts to download the latest Firefox update. I have chosen to let Firefox check for updates, but allow me to decide if/when to install them. This choice should apply to the About box as well.

I reported this once before, and it was fixed, but now it is back. How do I make Firefox act the way I want it to?
