Since upgrading to latest Thunderbird emails with several picture attachments crash Thunderbird why?
I have several email accounts all viewed through mozilla thunderbird. Since the automatic latest upgrade to thunderbird, if I receive an email with a picture attached (to my ntlworld.com address) thunderbird crashes, whereas if I get the sender to resend it to my Gmail address it loads perfectly. Where does the problem lie, and how do I fix it? I think this has started since Thunderbird automatically updated as I have never had this trouble before in many years of running Mozilla Thunderbird with these same email accounts. Help please. Thanks Dave

thunderbird crashes
Can you provide a crash ID? https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/mozilla-crash-reporter-tb#w_viewing-crash-reports
Or does Thunderbird just freeze (not responding)?
HI, I believe Thunderbird automatically sent a report? How do I find the crash ID.... is it stored somewhere in Thinderbird? Thanks Dave
In case it isn't obvious, you're supposed to click the link above.
Sorry I must be dim...link above what?
HI, Thanks. However this conversation is just displaying like an email thread at this end with no sign on that link. Anyway this isn't answering my problem. I am wondering if there is an incompatibility with the latest Thunderbird and Virgin's email system? It is strange tha the same Thunderbird handles picture attachments from Gmail but either searches forever or causes Thunderbird to crash. I am not a computer expert just an exasperated user! Dave
Sorry that should read " no sign OF that link" Dave

I have no idea what you're talking about.
This is a web forum, i.e. you do access it with a web browser. I suppose you heard the term web browser before. You're able to post to this forum, that means you're able to login to the forum with your account. I can't see any reason why you shouldn't be able to get to the forum topic you started and follow a link posted in a reply to your original query.
