AddonManager is not initialized
I have set up latest version firefox V42.0 as enterprise wide software running on windows.
I want to have the Markdown Viewer add-in (markdownviewer@thiht.fr.xpi) available and active for all users.
I have used the CCK2 add-in (cck2wizard@kaply.com.xpi) to specify all the details. Everything works fine for my account when accessing firefox, but new users recieve the following message
- * *
[Exception... "AddonManager is not initialized" nsresult: "0xc1f30001 (NS_ERROR_NOT_INITIALIZED)" location: "JS frame :: resource://gre/modules/AddonManager.jsm :: AMI_getInstallForURL :: line 1897" data: no]

The add-in isn't copied from the firefox install folder (which is a read-only mapped drive on an external server) to %APPDATA%\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles.
Question: What should I be doing so that new users can use firefox and apart from the "importing settings" type dialog everything is seamless and the markdown viewer add-on works?

Let's start here first,
It is possible that there is a problem with the file(s) that store the extensions registry.
Delete the extensions.* files (e.g. extensions.json, extensions.sqlite, extensions.ini) and compatibility.ini in the Firefox profile folder to reset the extensions registry.
New files will be created when required.
See "Corrupt extension files":

If you see disabled or not compatible extensions in "Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions" then click the Tools button at the left end of the Search bar to check if there is a compatibility update available.
If this hasn't helped then also delete possible addons.json and addons.sqlite files.
You can also check for problems with preferences.
