sync doesn't work on my mac
I'm using new Firefox sync. Everything was working fine on my mac but then i decided to format my HDD and install fresh system. After system installation I installed FF 43.0.4 , then i clicked Already have an account? Sign in and I logged in to my FF sync account . Unfortunately nothing happend. No bookmarks, passwords, tabs, add-ons showed. All the sync options seem to be checked correctly. I get no error message. I also tried to uninstall and install firefox but this also change nothing. Before I formatted my HDD drive I changed my FF sync password but I don't think this could affect sync. So right now i have no access to websites, bank accounts and other because all my bookmarks and pass stock somewhere on FF servers

Any chance you reset your Sync account password before logging into Sync?
if yes, see the screenshot
even if yes but I not sure, FF should start sending new data from my mac to servers ? I'm a right ? I remember that I click sync button few times after I changed password to make data be backup
Did you read the message in that screenshot? Change the password and your data will be wiped from the Sync server.
So, it depends upon when you changed the password. Firefox will send your data to the Sync servers, but after a format there is no data to be sent. It would have recovered your data from the server, as long as the data was still there.
Sorry for your data loss, but Sync wasn't intended to be a backup medium for the purposes of formatting a single device. It was designed to synchronize Firefox user data between multiple devices; so if a user ignores that warning message and inadvertently clears their data on the server while the 1st device is undergoing a format, that data is still on the 2nd device ad the Sync server can recover it from there.
