Firefox won't stop asking to be the default browser?
I recently bought a new computer running Windows 10. I installed Firefox, Chrome and Norton Security Premium. This is basically all that's on the computer so far. I DO NOT want Firefox as the default browser but I CAN'T STOP it from asking to be default browser every time it opens.
So far I have tried: 1. Going to Tools, Options, General and unchecking the always ask to be default box. This does not work, the next time I open it, the box is checked again. 2. I have been to this page; https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-to-fix-preferences-wont-save and clicked the refresh. I lose all my settings such as chosen homepage and can open firefox without it asking to be made default browser for maybe a day before the problem starts over again.
Is there a way to stop it or do I just give up on Firefox? I don't want it as a default browser and I don't want it trying to force my choices!

Note: Some software, like Advanced SystemCare with Surfing Protection, can protect files in the Firefox profile folder against changes. If you have such software then check the settings or uninstall this software.
