This script arrests the the newspaper blog I am reading at the time. Mouse and keys are immobilized The page does not scroll. The only option that I have found is to turn off the computer and start it up again. Firefox (or is it Google?) then lets me close the offended page/tab which disappears. Does not happen on three other newspaper blogs !

Sorry, I know about the internet only enough to read blogs, and am not a computer expert. Also, I am hard of hearing and cannot work with any phone. Looks like the problem I have described must be rather common as I try to cut away from the ads.

Thanks for a written suggestion; here or through my email.

Hi, please see Warning Unresponsive script - What it means and how to fix it.

If you want to remove ads, an ad-blocker like https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/adblock-plus/ may help, although some sites won't allow you to use them, if one is enabled.

If your question is resolved by this or another answer, please take a minute to let us know. Thank you!

Either an action by your respondent or simply highlighting+DEL the http//googleads.g.doubleclic ........... stopped the offending malware from reappearing.

Thanks for your help.
