The above add ons are now being blocked, saying "... could not be verified for use in Firefox and has been disabled". Can someone please explain a) why has this happened, b) why is my security on the internet, provided by one of the largest internet security businesses, now considered innappropriate, c) why is my security, in allowing me to see what web sites are considered dangerous, now being compromised, d) why is my web printing ability, supplied by one of the largest printer manufacturers, now being restricted?

I find this extremely annoying and a little arrogant on behalf of Mozilla to do this without even advising their users of the changes, and then tell users on their website that WE have to contact McAfee and Epson and ask them to ask you for permission to use their add-ons!

I also use Firefox on my phone and tablets, and hope these changes have not been extended to those devices. At present I will now have to change my default web browser to allow these absolutely secure add-ons to work, especially the McAfee Site Advisor which I would think is relied on by many people, including parents, to ensure web sites are appropriate.

hi mptaylor1, the latest version of webadvisor at https://www.siteadvisor.com is fully signed and will work fine in firefox. in regards to that epson extension i'm not sure - i don't even find that product on their homepage. please get in contact with epson's support about that issue, because in general it's always the task of the addon's developer to keep it compatible with newer browser versions...

Thanks for the reply - mysteriously about 5 minutes after submitting the question the McAfee notification changed to say it was now working and I should restart the browser to activate it - not sure why but now resolved.

I will contact Epson about their software.
