in MS when I place the cursor in an image that has an 'alt' the text shows ... not in Firefox. When I try to use the customize feature to allow page titles I am not allowed because of not having 'permissions ???

Alt text for images

Firefox displays the contents of the title attribute for images that load (on mouseover), and the alt text for images that do not load.

Over the years, there have been some add-ons to change what Firefox does, but I don't know whether any of them still work.

Page Title in the Title Bar

It's odd that you would get a permission error when clicking the Title Bar button in the Customize tab. Or is the problem with displaying the Customize tab in the first place? Could you post the exact wording of the error message you get?
