Address bar dropdowns HUGE in Firefox 48!
I was happy with the address bar, except maybe needed more entries, up until this FF48 update.
ON A LARGE SCREEN, THE ADDRESS BAR DROP DOWN DROPDOWN ENTRIES ARE NOW H U G E A N D S P A N A C C R O S S MY WHOLE SCREEN (21"). (The preceding was an example, by the way.
It is too big, and pops up to scare me, and cannot be easily read. It spans the whole width of my browser window.
It is still only dropping down 7 entries, AND SHOULD HAVE AN OPTION FOR 10, but some have extremely long url info after the domain name, causing them to go all the way across the screen with garbage. This address dropdown needs option to limit the default info to be only the address bar width. Help!

As you noticed, Firefox 48 has a new design for the address bar autocomplete drop-down: instead of two rows stacking the title on top of the URL, as wide as the address bar itself, Firefox 48 has the title and URL in a row, the full width of the Firefox window.
You have a lot of options for modifying the address bar drop-down using an add-on, custom style rule, or combination thereof.
I maintain a user style here that you could consider to narrow the width of the drop-down or revert to a two-line style:

Once you select your options, the rule can be applied using either the Stylish extension or, if you copy/paste from the View CSS link, a userChrome.css file.
