Since FireFox initiated add-on signing, I have two add-ons that have been disabled. I don't want either one of them any more--even if they were signed I would remove them--but there is NO WAY to remove them. I have even gone through the manual removal procedure for both extensions and plugins and have been unable to find my add-ons in either place. So they sit there with a big red X beside them and a warning at the top of the page that some extensions could not be verified. How do I make them go away? TIA

Hello, Happy to help, I hope you are having a nice day. First let's make sure that all of these steps do not help http://mzl.la/1xKrBZF

Then check to see if there are any lock files in your profile folder (this can lock preferences)Profiles - Where Firefox stores your bookmarks, passwords and other user data

Another suggestion might be to try a Firefox refresh. Refresh Firefox - reset add-ons and settings

What add-ons are you trying to remove?

Some add-ons are really plugins. The only way to remove a plugin is to remove its program from your system.
