amazon 'keep me signed in button' has disappeared. It shows in IE but not Firefox. How can I get it back?

I've tried logging out of Amazon then I bring up the login screen. The 'keep me signed in' button doesn't show. But it does in Internet Explorer. It use to show in Firefox but doesn't anymore. I prefer to use Firefox but it's getting very annoying to constantly have to retype my passwd to do anything. thanx

Clear the cache and remove the cookies from websites that cause problems via the "3-bar" Firefox menu button (Options/Preferences).

"Clear the cache":

  • Firefox/Options/Preferences -> Advanced -> Network -> Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"

"Remove the cookies" from websites that cause problems.

  • Firefox/Options/Preferences -> Privacy -> "Use custom settings for history" -> Cookies: "Show Cookies"
