how do I get the random background and search bar on the new tab page?

There used to be a random background when I would open a new tab. There was also a search bar in the middle of the page. How do I get it back. I really liked the random pictures. The search bar used the yahoo search engine.

Firefox has never had a feature like a random background image for the New Tab page, must have been provided by an add-on.
