When I send an email to an address book I seem to have to change ALL to BCC individually. How can this be done for all receiving the email?
I have an address book with 20 names. On the address book page, I choose WRITE to write a message to the members of this group. The address all come up in the email BUT they are ALL labeled TO: and I need them all to be BCC:
I have been changing them all manually, is there a better, faster way in Thunderbird 52?
Thanks

Are you using the contacts panel in the compose window (f9) It gives the option at the botton to add to BCC,CC or To in a button. BAsically Thunderbird is not written around starting to send an email from the address book. It is written around starting an email and adding all the "bits" like text, recipients and attachments all in the one place.
Open the Contacts sidebar (F9 in the Write window), select an address book at the top of the sidebar, then select the contacts (Ctrl-A for all), then click Add to Bcc: at the bottom of the sidebar. Or, drag the selected contacts onto an address line, then change it to Bcc.
When I compose using the contact list (f9) the SEND button is grayed out so I cannot send the email after filling in the address book name at BCC and adding Subject and a Message in the email.
The Send button should be active. Does the same thing happen in safe mode (hold Shift when you launch TB)?
