I was on comcast for quite a few years and had an email address with comcast. Then I changed my email address about 2 years ago. At that time the thunderbird email created new 'local folders' where the comcast name emails were kept. Recently, my thunderbird stopped working and so I backed up profiles and thunderbird folders. I then install thunderbird v52.1.1 and copied the old profile to the new thunderbird. Well, thunderbird now works but the emails from my old comcast days is not there. How can I create local folders and get the old comcast emails to those local folders. This is my first post so this may be a bit wordy, but any help will be appreciated. thanks Mike

I solved the problem but am not sure how I did it. I tried creating a sub folder to the local folder. And then tried to copy an old input folder to the newly created sub folder. That did not seem too work. I deleted the sub folder and re-booted. I looked at other ideas but then the email folders showed a number of local folders with my old emails. I am not sure how thunderbird did this but it works now. So the problem is solved. Mike
