How can I stop emails from automatically deleting in my inbox before I've read them?

If I delete an email, it occasionally deletes the one right below also, when they're not linked whatsoever. So I have to find it in the Trash folder and move it back to Inbox. The emails are not part of a conversation thread, so no idea why they're "disappearing" so quickly like that. Almost like I need to slow down my inbox read speed, but I've done that too and nothing is working.

Adjust your mouse double click speed.

Try a different mouse

If you select a message and press delete on your keyboard does only that one delete? If yes you have a problem mouse.
