The website default:improvisationguild is infiltrating firefox websites I wish to view like BBC History and Smithsonian - I have tried all your advice and cannot get rid of it, I have Avast security system which also has not got rid of it. It blots out the info I want and says page is communicating then it flashed on that the page is not available. Yesterday it got worse with a disgusting porn site flashing on. I have checked my control panel on my laptop and there are no programes on it that I have not authorised. I am at my wits end this has gone on for five months now and no one seems to be able to give me advice how to get rid of this rogue programe. Please help.

Hi   !

Go to the 3-bar menu => Addons => and look for any unfamiliar or suspicious looking extensions, like e.g.:

SafeSearch Incognito
SearchAssist Incognito

When you find any :   remove them.

You 've already done the same in Windows' Control Panel => Programs, so we can skip that.

However :   most malware will be 'hiding' somewhere , so let's run malware scans :

Further information can be found in this article :

Run most or all of the listed malware scanners.
They all work differently   -   what one program doesn't pick up, the other might.
