We are having problems with firefox crashing 1-2 times per day, on different websites, these are not big media heavy sites or similar, but work related sites, like Cameron County District Clerk (civil records search page). Which crashed when entering a search parameter.

We're sorry to hear that Firefox is crashing. In order to assist you better, please follow the steps below to provide us crash IDs to help us learn more about your crash.

The crash report is several pages of data. We need the report numbers to see the whole report.

  1. Enter about:crashes in the Firefox address bar and press Enter. A Submitted Crash Reports list will appear, similar to the one shown below.
  2. Copy the 5 most recent Report IDs that start with bp- and then go back to your forum question and paste those IDs into the "Post a Reply" box.

Note: If a recent Report ID does not start with bp- click on it to submit the report.

(Please don't take a screenshot of your crashes, just copy and paste the IDs. The below image is just an example of what your Firefox screen should look like.)

Here is one from today -

There are other recent ones, but the user did not submit them, I was called to the console for this one and submitted it.

The sites are simple, I have made every software upgrade I can find, and don't suspect hardware having run hardware diagnostics over night.

With all due respect, I don't think this will help. I've tried all of them, and my graphics drivers are up to date. This is not a driver problem, it's a Mozilla problem. Recent versions of of Firefox have serious problems with Javascript. Earlier versions froze Firefox. In recent versions firefox just crashes. Blocking javascript prevents many of the crashes. Unfortunately, many site are unusable without javascript. Either Mozilla fixes this, or they should just give up. They are putting out buggy products that simply are not functional any longer. Rather sad....
