Can I swap a session file from the old Session Manager addon to a Firefox sessionstore* file?

I used the old Session Manager addon for Firefox quite a bit previously. When the update to 57 was pushed I lost all the tabs I had opened. Is it possible to swap in a "Session Manager" session file to one of Firefox's default sessionstore* style files that it opens if you select it to start off from where you left off last time?

If not, would Firefox have recorded what sides I had opened when it updated?

Running on Ubuntu 16.04 if it helps in anyway.

No and No, 2 separate programs and that was why the extension was used in the 1st place.

If you need to recover info then Going back : unfortunately 56.0.2 is no longer safe to use for every day use do to secuity issues, but 52.5.0 ESR is. It will continue to get security updates until May 2018, and you can download and install it from this page: https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/organizations/all/ Note : Legacy Extensions will be deleted or removed in any version update after May 2018.

You should make a backup of your Profile before going back and just because: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/back-and-restore-information-firefox-profiles
