As of the newest update to Quantum, Firefox has been logging me out of multiple sites that I stay logged into, usually when I close the browser, but in some cases while it's still up. My passwords are saved so I can log back in easy enough, but it's still a bit of an annoying inconvenience. In the case of Whatsapp Web, it's made me have to rescan the QR code in the middle of a session for no reason. Any good help would truly be appreciated!

Things I've tried: Reverting to old firefox and back to Quantum: failed. Clearing all cookies out: failed. Changing history settings to remember all: failed. History is set to allow all cookies, remember search & form, and browsing & download histories: still failed.

Try : https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-firefox-issues-using-safe-mode If works fine here then it is a Extension or your Profile.

Or the site is not getting what it wants from Firefox as you have put it to sleep and can not except the refresh request.

Please let us know if this solved your issue or if need further assistance.

A detail like a website remembering you (log you in automatically) is stored in a cookie. When you remove cookies from websites then this makes websites forget about you.

You can use these steps to make a website recognize and remember you:

  • you can create an "Allow" exception to keep specific cookies, especially in case of secure websites and when cookies expire when Firefox is closed.
  • Options/Preferences -> Privacy & Security -> Cached Web Content: "Clear Now": Exceptions

In case you use "Clear history when Firefox closes" or otherwise clear history.

  • do not clear the Cookies
  • do not clear the Site Preferences
  • clearing "Site Preferences" clears exceptions for cookies, images, pop-up windows, and software installation and exception for password and other website specific data
  • clearing "Cookies" will remove all selected cookies including cookies with an "Allow" exception you may want to keep
