don't show history to all users
speaking of privacy , i don't want my history to be available for all users . i use master password, but that doesn't keep other users from seeing my favorites and history. i don't want anyone to see my browsing history or favorites websites (bookmarks) can you help me with this issue?

Use the privacy features that are built into the Operating System! Don't rely upon applications that are installed for "privacy".
If you have other people using your PC, you should have a "guest" Logon User Account for their use and not let them sit down and use your Logon account.
And if the "guest" regularly uses your PC, as a sibling or roommate might, they should have their own Logon User Account for privacy of their data and "history". There are applications the owner of the computer can install to "track" users internet usage on the sly, and not leave you "exposed", too.

thanks "the-edmeister" for trying to help . but this is not what i am looking for.
i understand what you mean, but this is not a solution for me. may be for another person.
no answer ? admin may be ? firefox support team ?
You can set Firefox to never remember history or use private browsing.
yes i can do that
but i want to remember history for only me !!
not for every body.
i don't know why master password doesn't include history browsing as well.
To do what you are asking you should create another Windows User Account, one for each person who uses the computer, and then secure it with a password. Having multiple people using the same account is a bad idea. This is something that is enforced at the OS level, not the browser.
We are investigating "log into Firefox" but that's a far distant feature if it ever happens
i know where you area coming from , and your reasons for this solution . agree with you to have privacy from the beginning , if this is the only solution you have, why put master password on the browser, without protecting my information and history data!
- anyhow this is not the issue here .
in some situations your solution can't work, unfortunately your solution is not going to work for my situation.
i still want to protect my history for Firefox browser only.
in your logic, why have password for any application such as facebook/any other login applications. no one can enter your computer without user name and password.
i hope that i point is cleared

Why does that not work for you?
Master Password is to protect other passwords, that's it.
We've given you a workaround that does exactly what you want, if you choose not to use that option then we can't really help unfortunately. Just because you don't like the solution doesn't mean it's not a solution
